About Me

I’m Lisa Sloane and I am a entrepreneur.

I am currently Founder and CEO of my 5th business – Multimedia in Healthcare [go2mih.com] – where I lead, coach, and inspire a team of creative, extremely smart and talented individuals. Together with our partner clients we develop and distribute break-through web-based training and education for healthcare organizations.

I am a trained healthcare administrator. I obtained my advanced degree from The Ohio State University, College of Public Health, Health Services Management and Policy Program. I know a lot about transformational healthcare practices that lead to better care and lower costs. I’ve had the good fortune to play leadership roles in the adoption and implementation of the nation’s most important innovation initiatives, including Aligning Forces for Quality, Comprehensive Primary Care, Partnership for Patients, Beacon Collaborative, and Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative.

I’m an expert on healthcare equity and the collection of race, ethnicity and language (REAL) data. I led the development of the first eLearning module designed to train registration staff across the country to collect REAL data. REAL data collection is the first step in health disparities resolution. The first generation of the module was sold exclusively via Joint Commission Resources is now in its second generation and sold exclusively by MIH. The module is used by more than 200 hospitals nationwide.

I am also proud to chair the Diversity Committee for The Ohio State University’s Health Services Management & Policy Alumni Society. There I am championing an effort to boost satisfaction and engagement of underrepresented students and alumni.
